When does DI fire? Is it the server or the client that decides if I'm dead or alive? I had some questions about DI, and to try to answer them I put a DI on myself and went and let myself get beat on until it fired. Now I have even more questions. Going in, i had 7134 hp. None of those should have been able to kill me. So why did DI fire?
It tries to fire when you get below 16% health but you haven't died. If you're at 0 it's too late and you need a rez instead.

raven's post says : The Check The full DI check is performed every time you take damage if your new hit points are below 15%. Only success drops the buff, so if you fail the first check, you'll keep rolling every time you take damage until you're either healed above 15% or you die. in thucy's example, he lost the buff on a failed check didn't he?
DI doesn't produce a "you have been healed" message when it goes off. Notice that Thucy's log does say he's no longer berserk, so it worked. So if for some reason a hit exceeds the last 16% of the tanks health, it will fail regardless. Didn't know that, thanks. Might explain why some people are noticing more DI failures these days. The mobs in PoP just hit that much harder.
