I think the key is to not engage (pull) anything while you are currently fighting named, as I understand it.
I mean I know about the custom anti-peel code, just wondering if other guilds occasionally get hilarious piles of mobs charging them out of nowhere while not actually kiting or peeling stuff.
Yes, absolutely. We've missed a couple p3 timers because of it. Once because someone accidentally autoran a box off into the middle and a few other times for unknown reasons - maybe a puller still had aggro on something and stood or the next pull started before a named had been completely cleared...or maybe just scripting gods laughing at us. It would be nice on having a Gentletrolls agreement for p3 rather than relying on not hitting an edge case.
Its some type of call for help mechanic that triggers sometimes. Or rather the call for help is delayed until the next mobs are pulled since they were in an inactive state, but "remember you". Or something like that. Its been going on since the first time we were in there.
We haven't had any lately. Our trains in the past always appeared to be user error. I think that when Inacht finally voiced his concern on the matter, we all realized it was time to pay attention and play our characters. Of course saying that, we'll probably end up with a huge train in P3 tonight for some unexplainable reason.
Paragon only gets trained when we forget mobs gate. We just kill both nameds at the same time though.
basically, if you agro anything while fighting mobs, chance of entire train coming at the raid just learned to deal with 8 mob pulls that happen randomly, and try not to wipe yay custom scripts that don't work properly, thanks for near raid wipes for no reason whatesoever
stop cheesing the game so hard and I won't have to add this junk I'm going to change it. I didn't realize it was causing these problems
Thank you! I can't speak for Tem's officers, but I can't imagine we'll go back to running P3 trash in circles.
Its fine either way, it helps to clear faster since they swarm specific tanks that they notice. Knights do get annoyed when the 3 healers paying attention suddenly aren't enough though.
do appreciate the adranaline rush of "someone tried to join the raid by dropping down the ledge, and now everything agrod and is running towards Lamia, HEAL LAMIA!!!!!!!!" as everyone else scrambles to kite, snare, root park the train of crap that just agrod and beelined the tank because of the script great fun times blaming the new person who just wanted to join the raid...
