Trilogy server

I have noticed that EQmac is like classic (If you have oldUI=TRUE) but it's not 100% classic

I made that to talk about a new server but I have gotten a ton of message saying that TAKProject is out

Anybody know how I can make my own classic-trilogy client to play privatly or LaN?

I was sent https://github.com/EQMacEmu/Server/tree/trilogy but I have no clue what im looking at

any ideas?

I'd try the pool before you swim the English channel.

 

I will put up a trilogy server for you.

I estimate 2000 hrs of work. At $100/hr.

So, $200k + server and hosting costs. Then can do $10k a month to maintain and run it.

I just wanted to see if it was possible, I only came here to "expand the horizon"

But what Haynar said is roughly true hehe. What you want is a massive undertaking. For someone with no experience as you've declared, it's just not going to happen.

We do have the classic UI as you saw but the character portrait is broken. I don't think that's easily fixed by anyone

 

EQMac is not like classic at all Being in Kunark right now makes it seem like we are, but it's far from the truth.

We have the most classic client in use, but that's about it.

 

the thing is, I know people who have private trilogy servers
usually waht happens is, when I ask how, they either dont answer or start speaking another language

 

Until you understand what they are talking about a little bit better, I would recommend holding off on a massive computer coding project like programming a real time game server.
