Anyone else having trouble with this guy, or had trouble? I've made a couple attempts, several hours at a time on him. I think this mob burnt Skratching out, he spent almost all day for a week straight trying to get him to pop and never saw him. He may have kept logs. But I haven't seen him on.
Yea this guy was awful. Got around 6-7 Druid epic spawns in the time it took me to get Bergurgle to spawn. Pearls are equally as awful.
Took me 24 physical hours camping this guy on eqlive. Sucked as a camp. And its one I need to do again unfortunately. If working on epic is enough to run you off the server, then you shouldn't work on epics. They can be horribly frustrating. And there are plenty of things to do that are much more satisfying for short term goals.
I've found two ways to make epic camps suck less. Do them when they are in your exp range and camping them actually gives you some exp returns. For example I did this particular one at level 40ish and got decent exp off the goblins. Do them way past the level they are trivial so you can AFK camp it with a higher level toon while you play other toons, read or watch tv/movies. For example AFK at Lord Gimblox or Bergurgle with a level 50+ pet and check back every 20-30minutes.
Indeed. Doing pearls right now too in SF and getting decent XP. The bergurgle camp is a bit low to get XP off of now, it's also extremely depressing down there. So dark. And water. God I hate water.
I thought we would get the killing blow. I was nuking for the last hit. The last time I did the Cleric epic was in 2001 on PC. Is it the same on this server?
Awesome. I'm going to be campaigning for people to aid with the Overking part of the epic. I'll keep everyone informed! It will be fun and maybe we can knock out a few drops in Chardok simultaneously.
