whats the current hard and soft caps for our normal skills and armor class? And for tanks which is more efficient ac, stamina, or raw hp? Any info helps just trying to learn more about these mechanics in game.
AC has no hard cap. Soft cap depends on race, level and AA's. Worn HP regen hard cap is 25. Worn FT hard cap is 15. Worn Atk hard cap is 250. Effective worn haste cap is 41% since nothing is higher. Normal stats max at 255 until 61+ Skill caps are different based on class.
What's the difference between a hard cap and soft cap? For a human warr would ac, stamina, or raw hp be better?
Hard cap would mean that after, say, 100 AC there are no gains - there is a "hard" limit on the effect of AC. With a soft cap system, gains after a limit, are only marginal (example: monks have a 2% return on AC over the softcap, so it takes 50 worn AC to gain the effect of 1 AC). AC vs HP is an age old debate. Search EGN or TSW for some light reading, and bring your popcorn.
Hard cap simply means amount which you can no longer increase. Like if your AC number never went above 1000 no matter how good your gear was, that'd be a hard cap.
This is not true. AHR neck, or any of the PoTime Regen+FT effects are all tied to the FT cap. Otherwise they would be way too OP. Clickies line Lunar Whispers / Koadics Hightened Focus go beyond the cap but those are click buffs.
I don't know which point, AK had its ft mechanics from, but If you read about the Ahr neck, I used to stack with ft15
Yeah not here. We have items with the fancy names (e.g., Aura of Battle) but they're just fun fore the lore nerds as behind the hood they're just stat mods (e.g., ATK+10, HP Regen +2).
