So I created my characters and logged on for the first time tonight and holy crap did I feel lost. You forget a lot in 4 years. But while my EQ intellect was certainly gone one thing was clear. The people on the server were as awesome as I remembered. I say this not because I got hooked up with some awesome gear from people I had never met before. Not because people helped with my "newbie" questions. But because I asked for none of it, and instead everyone was actively looking to help. I got help with some simple start up tips, received some gear, and just generally was welcomed with open arms tonight and I just thought it was really really cool. I saw people I hadn't seen in years and met new people. All just as cool as the next. Forgot how awesome this server and the people on here are. Kudos to everyone who keeps this culture going. Culture in my opinion is the foundation of everything and the culture here is unmatched. I am pumped to be back and can't wait to give back in the same way. Looking forward to some fun times!! I'm a crappy level 1, but just want to let everyone know I have your back as well.
Really it is. The nearby school for bad boys makes them spend all morning picking rocks out of a field, then all afternoon placing them back again. Day after day.

I popped into PoK with my new trolls to bind and head to field of bone, someone saw me, probably said look at this nerd, hooked me up with some buffs and gear and sent me on my way. Thanks Grubble!
