Client login password set to US region

When I login, although my windows desktop is set to UK regional settings, the password entry is using a US keyboard regional settings and I use a special character which is in a different location on a UK keyboard compared to US keyboard.

Is there anyway to set regional settings for EQ client to UK ?

I've checked the eqclient.ini and also online to no avail.

 

You are best off not using special characters. This is an old client, and it doesn't like complex passwords.

 

There is a eq keyboard map file somewhere. You chould search for keywords about that. I gave up on learning the dvorak keyboard 20 years ago because I didn't know about it.

So I found the keyboard.txt and edited it in binary mode in notepad++ and replaced just swapped two characters and it worked.
