Hello everyone. Dug out my old laptop (emphasis on old) It's running Windows 7 I believe? Anyway I've had EQ on my laptop before, but now the installer says my 'graphics card is incapable' Is there a work around to get the game installed and turn down the graphics and see if I can pull this off? I reckon it's a long shot but I believe this machine is capable of running the game because it did okay before. Thanks everyone
Make sure DX9c is installed. Try the graphics options on the wiki, setting the display driver to run in performance mode, etc.
Any chance dgvoodoo2 is what is reporting "graphics card is incapable"? If the hardware is sufficiently old it shouldn't be needed. My TAKP computers run Windows 7 and use GTX 750 Ti video cards (which hold up remarkably well for nearly 10-year-old hardware) and have never had dgvoodoo2 installed.
If your PC can run windows 7 which was released in 2009, it can definitely play a game that was released in 1999.
