We have some pretty good threads about ac and mitigation and this/that/the other thing. How is kick (and also flying kick if its different) damage calculated? Is it based off AC of worn boots? Level? Both? More factors? I am very curious.
Boot AC should be a factor, in increments of 25. So if you have 21 AC boots it's the same as 3 AC boots as 24 AC boots as 17 AC boots, but 25 AC boots are better. Likeless, 25 AC or 49 AC or anything in between is the same, but 50 AC boots would be more DPS.* *This is how Live works and probably has always worked, but I bring no evidence of AK boot AC shenanigans. Also, Slam from the Shoulder slot works in the same manner.
Yea I was hoping to get some dev-confirmation akin to torven's post about ac. And I was curious about flying kick (tbh all the monk skills, do they calculate differently)
Flying kick damage is still using the eq emu damage code that we inherited. It's wrong. I never got around to it because I had higher priorities. I did update backstab and archery however. Sorry monks. Of course flying kick could be doing more damage than it should, I have no idea.
https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq...rrow-damage-calculations.196770/#post-2910289 It's the same as melee except without a * 2 multiplier that melee gets
how far EQ live has fallen... from their recent patch notes : Bard - Bards now gain the kick skill at level 17: - Changed Selo's Kick to be a passive ability that will add an additional Kick attack to your Kick skill button presses. Bards double kicking
They already have a Innate Run Speed 10, which is about 86%... PS - The find item function they just added on Live is incredible. Can find any item you own in your inventory, bank or houses. tells you where the item is, can filter by stats or other options like illusion clickies, potions, shields, weapons, etc.
Does it play the game for you? Wait nvm it does- stands afk at bottom of the hole with a healer merc and merc... come back every few hours and both toons have 30aa banked
