you get no benefit with >50% beneficial haste, and the spell casting bar breaks with >105% beneficial haste so there really is no need to get these AAs and introduce issues
If stuff like this can't be "fixed", then it would be cool to have the aa text adjusted in-game to inform and warn players. Making posts like these in the forums should only be seen as a temporary solution to technical problems that aren't common knowledge.
Is it possible to change the AA description window ingame? Might help clarify some AA's like the cleric HoT one where the description doesn't match the functionality
Seeing a couple contradicting posts here. Can anyone 100% confirm that getting all these aa, plus focuses, plus BoR results in instant buffs or not?
Is Innate Metabolism supposed to reduce food AND drink consumption or does it only work for food? Currently it appears to be only working for food. My food/drink consume at VERY different rates and they are both the same quality. I am not using a horse.
Metabolism should work on both. Also consider that the description of a food or drink in game has a range within in. Even if they are both “a snack” or whatever the description is there’s some variability on the duration of the food stuff. What food/drink are you using that you notice has different values?
my ogres seem to go through twice as much halas 10lb pies than they do kaladim constitutionals, no idea what the base durations are on them though
Exactly this. I've used many different foods/drinks and no matter what they go through the food 2x as fast on characters that have metabolism. I hate it so much and wish I'd never purchased the AA, haha.
Interesting. I bought Metabolism 1/2/3 on my halfling druid, and have definitely noticed his consumption has gone down - but I'm not sure by how much, or if it's consistent between his Fish Rolls and Fuzzlecutter Formula 5000.
Most recently I was using Plane of Time foraged food, Water of Eternity and Rye of Eternity. Left AFK for a while, my Troll Shaman consumed twice the food than she did drink after purchasing Metabolism 3.
I thought the races that consume more just consume more food and not drink. Or that was my understanding. More drink is consumed with mount use or in desert zones.
Never had the experience you are describing on my (many) troll women until I bought that AA on one of them. I was always buying tons and tons of Chardok food/drink and divvying it out to my dudes as needed so the food/drink I was using has been consistent since Kunark dropped.
Create a level 1 troll, give it 5 rye, 5 water. Give 5 rye / 5 water to your metab AA troll. Compare rates. Curious to know the results.
make sure horse is off for test. then check again with horse on. Devs have minimal data on consumption, so log the numbers too.
I did not play on the EQ Mac server, so I have no data to offer with regards to Akkuracy. I can state as a fact that on Live from Luclin through at least LDON, LoY, and Gates (when we quit) that Innate Metabolism saved on both food AND drink. My main was ogre SK and my wife's main was troll Sham. I have no logs, but I'm 100% positive on this.
