I know some people are anti-GINA -- that is not what this thread is for. I want GINA for an invis dropping trigger when I'm 3 boxing and crawling through a dungeon and a timer overlay trigger for respawns when I'm pulling cycles. Is there any way to run GINA and/or Gamparse on OSX?
In typical weekend project fashion I started creating a poor man's GINA for macOS but havn't had the time to sit down and get it to a point where its worth sharing. I've figured out a lot of the "major" pieces (Text that overlays the game. Text-to-speech. Tailing the log file.) but havn't actually created "triggers". I wanted to research the formats GINA/GamTextTrigger use but havn't gotten that far. Here's a screenshot of the overlay showing the last line from the log file: Maybe this thread will give me a little more motivation.
If you wanted to open source this I'm sure there's plenty of people who would help. I don't know objective C but I'd love to look into it
as an update on getting real gina to work through wine, i managed to get .net 4.5 framework installed on wine but seems windows installer 4.5 isnt working on wine and that is holding me up from actually installing it. it prob wont work but figured id post just incase somebody knew of a work around.
No. Any Gam features other than basic parsing are unreliable at best and crash the app at worst on a Mac. Gamparse also can't even read logs from the first 9 days of any month without editing in a leading zero ahead of the single digit.
Bump. What version of GamParse will ready OSX client files? I downloaded the current 2.0 beta and I can open the gui with wine+mono but it reports an error for every line in the file when I try to open a log file.
That newer beta might not work at all with the Mac or PC client here. v1.6.1.7 is what I use on PC. I can send it to you on discord if you need it.
I did some snooping. You can find the older versions under the lastversions or oldversions folders here: http://elitegamerslounge.com/home/gamparse/ If you install one of the 1.5.x.x versions it should update after a few runs to 1.6.1.7
Also, it looks like you can download the launcher file from here: http://gambosoft.eqresource.com/gamparse/GamParse.application Save that and run it, it should reach out to the server and pull down the 1.6.1.7 version.
I downloaded 1.5.2 and it reads the logs fine. Although I didn’t see a self update, just a link to the forum where only 2.0.0 is available.
Gamparse has an issue with how the mac client prints log lines from the first nine days of the month. It looks for a preceding zero, but our client doesn't print one. Example: [Tue Jun 1 13:25:36 2021] <-- Mac client [Tue Jun 01 13:25:36 2021] <-- Gamparse expectation If you find it crashing when trying to run certain log files, this would likely be why. At least in my experience. A quick find/replace throughout the file will make it usable.
