Due to the sensitivity of our netcode, hosting 3 emu servers on the same hardware has not been ideal. And the current system did not have room for us to expand and continue to use static zones. In order to stay closer to AK, we wanted to maintain that configuration. Since a move was going to be requires no matter what, we began to explore our options. Last month, we were presented with an offer by Rogean that he would host our server with no monthly fee and eqmac.com pointing to us. Only thing we need to provide is SSD. The team voted for the move and we bought 4 Intel® SSD DC S4500 Series 240 GB for 623.96 earlier last month. We had hope that we moved this by the end of last month but we have had a few setback from unexpected turn out. We are paid up currently this month with Akkadius's host so we are hoping to make the move by the end of this month. We will announce a day that will happen with some downtime. I correct the current donation amounts that had included this month rent. The reduced monthly costs is due to us performing our own server management. Only fee we still need is domain names and offsite program which is already reflected on the site per month. Any extra donations could be use for future hardware purchases.
On November 12 Sunday, the game server will be coming down at 10 am PST and should be back up in 1 hour or so. If something come up or issue arise, it can be down longer than a hour but no more than 8 hours. Currently, the dev server was already moved to the new host so that was successful.
