Ranger Arrows

I skimmed the forums today. The ranger thread was an impressive flamefest, considering that it seems there is a simple solution: why not make corners eat X% of arrows such that Ranger damage is reasonably balanced?

Also, I think the devs have the right idea in making a few small balance tweaks. EQ is fundamentally a reward game, and when things get too easy it's boring. Verant understood this very well, which is why they were always fanatics about balancing risk and reward. There has to be some way to nudge game balance in the right direction while still keeping the basic AK feel. Giving pacify a 50% resist rate seems quite reasonable, for example.

OP - I think the most reasonable request in that archery thread was to fix the bug but make arrow generate proper hate. Why make a new thread though? Why not just reply to that one?

 

Because he doesn't know monks have a good chance at an AC bump.

Sounds good, but I still have too much going on in my life to grind AA, keys, and VT. Hope everyone is having fun in elfland though!
