Noticed this last night. There were too many messages to account for just charmed pets. It may be relating to either summoned pets or horses as well. Pretty sure this has always been the case for summoned pets. I thought there was a patch message that it was fixed at some point, but I cant remember the specifics. AEs hitting all NPCs was a constant annoyance leveling up a bard.
Seen this in powater during coirnav as well with word of morell (the not holding message; resists and landing are separate on the actual adds). That would be indoor (no mounts) and there weren't enough summoned pets in vicinity to account for the number of messages either. Could be players are still triggering the message for non bards?
If you aren't grouped or in the same raid as those players, then they will be hit by WoM and similar AoE spells.
