I'm psyched for luclin and PoP, found one of my old live PoP raid videos, I played a erudite mage named iadien in a red robe, the camera zooms in on me a lot, this was on 7th Hammer

Isn't winter 2017 = the january and february 6 months ago?

And winter 2018 = in 6 months, after xmax?

I don't think the devs have published a target release date. They're volunteers, after all, so work on TAKP fits around their jobs and other obligations.

That being said, 15 of the 30 Luclin zones are done and it's been 8 months since the Sept. 21, 2016 Velious release. The remaining 15 include basically every raid zone, which will be tougher to accurately reproduce, but then again the dev pace seems to pick up as the end goal gets closer...

I think they'd like to say they will do an expansion per year in the September-November timeframe, but due to any number of uncertainties can't be guaranteed. Much like camping a drop in EQ, it gets done when it gets done. ;)

Does more beers donated to cavedude = faster coding?
Or does it work in reverse...

If there were no twilight armor quests, I think Luclin would drop sooner rather than later.

But OMG. How many freaking items there are for those quests are just crazy.

I know accuracy is a top priority for devs here, but I feel that a lot of effort is being spent for content that will have very few (if any) people consuming it. Would it help the release schedule if some things remained broken/unfinished and were completed at a later date? Or would that just kinda mean they would never get done, and it's best to delay until it's all complete to your satisfaction.

For example: I don't think many people will complete the twilight armor quests, or obscure quests like rotting jawbones / thick jawbones. Looking at the "Luclin quests to be tested" thread, I would make a wild assumption that most of those will never be done. In fact, quite a few of those quests have never been completed at all and further data/info doesn't seem to exist. How do you deal with that aspect?

Accuracy in lieu of speed is literally in the project's mission statement.

This server is just amazing when it comes to accuracy of game mechanics such as spells, resists, armor class, pathing, mob health, mob damage, and so on. This is very important, and this server is clearly top notch.

But is accuracy of Luclin lvl 1-50 quests that nobody will ever complete really that important? Some even remain unsolved/uncompleted on eqlive to this day.

Just wondering if effort is maybe better spent on content players will actually consume.

I'm happy with the release schedule either way, I'm in no rush for anything :)
Don't care if it gets released this year or next... I got plenty to do to keep me busy and entertained!

Lenas just agreed he will do every single Twilight sea quest for all classes as soon as Luclin hits before he does 1AA.

    I might test some.

Content accuracy is what separates us from the beasts.

I would have thought the raid accuracy would be the pain point since they are actually starting to be more than just tank and spanks while surviving an AE.
