I'm compiling a list of highly desired camps in early EQ and I'd love your input. These can be camps for any level, outside of PoP. What are some of your favorites? Some items on my list: Singing Steel Helm, Singing Steel Boots, Drums of the Beast, Lute of the Howler, Voice of the Serpent, Fungi Tunic, Cure Disease/Poison earrings from Chardok, Shiny Brass Idol, Ghoulbane, Silk nets from permafrost, runed mithril bracer, guano harvester
What is your criteria for highly desired camps? Are we looking at this from an in-era point of view? Or currently on TAKP? Are you trying to stick to camps that are 3-boxable? Are we including purely EXP camps, or only item drop camps?
I'm looking for groupable camps with named mobs that drop something desirable, at any gear level. General exp camps not so much. Era-wise, it would apply to the lifetime of the server, even after pop has been out several years. Edit: some examples of lower level items that fit the criteria: Fishbone earring, earring of essence, circlet of shadows, supple scale armband, staff of the dreaded gaze, etc
Virulent mosquito camp in CT. Slime boots camp in CT. Crypt in Sebilis (silk whip of ensnare, sword of morning, hiero cloak). Dusty soriz pouch guy in ssra. South wing howling stones (fingerbone hoop, steel hilted flint dagger). Assassin / supplier camp in lower guk (wr bags) Efreeti camp in SolB
If you're going to Lower Guk for the WR bag from the ghoul supplier, you might as well hit the Evil Eye in Live side for the Bag of Sewn Evil Eye.
