Rarest Items

What do people think are the rarest items on the server? Excluding unique special event gear. Just items that drop from this server.

I'm guessing Preserved Chokidai Vocal Cords would be one item, dropped deep in the Chardok Library, from a mob that spawns rarely, with the cords dropping even more rarely. Though, the constant farming of Chardok during the Kunark era may have made this quite common.

The other item is Vibrating Gauntlets of Infuse. I only know of one pair out there, though there must be more.

Thoughts? Anyway to look this up in the database?

 

I'm always curious how many halfling masks exist on the server.

 

If it weren't possible to game the respawn of the halflings, Blam Stick would be quite rare. Too bad it sucks.

That being said, Bottomless Box is quite rare and I only know of one on the server.

 

Ahh right, I totally forgot about the Bottomless Box, gotta admire a nice bag type item!

I think we've seen it once or twice in all of the times we've killed AoW. We always pull him if he's up.

I bet there isn’t a single Globe of Darkness on the whole server. That is to say, of the *desirable* items on the server that are rare, those listed above are probably among the rarest.

Then there are the items that are rare for a different reason. There are many of those...

 

Reminds me, are we still at six emp robes or have some dropped more recently?

 

How many Memory’s has Cursed dropped?

 

i have only seen one Skull shaped wand

 

One for NAG according to dkp reports.

 

We're still at 2. I think we have as many MM robes at this point.

 

We’ve seen 4 Emp robes, 1 Sporecaller and 0 Memory’s from Ssra.

I have not met many people with Dark Cloak of the Sky.

 

True, Plane of Sky will have a ton of items people haven't completed. Vermillion Sky Ring for instance, 2 charged of FD, Shaman only. Cool toy.

As Cillipis said, there will be many rare items that are undesirable, no one wants them, so they aren't sought after. I'm more interested in the ones that people find interesting or valuable but are hard to find to the point there may only be a few on the server.

 

PoSky Ranger Cloak and Shaman FD ring will have uses till end of PoP. Rangers self buffed 50% haste with 41% haste item is nearly at 100% cap which is pretty OP.

This is not a progression server.

 

The devs are recreating EQmac, they don't want to break something to patch it later. They just figured it made sense to go era by era which has been a blast. We had POK on day one for example.

 

might as well throw torch in there. We have never seen a torch from AHR.

 

We have seen 8 Torches. At this point I'd trade a torch for a Sporecaller! RNG gonna RNG!

 

I think we would gladly trade 2 Sporecallers for 1 Torch....

 

It is a good thing for the rest of my guild I don't have the authority to accept this trade, cause I would!
