Fleshripper seems to be a bust sadly. I thought it might be always B with a chance of C, buuuut I got an A.
... I spent more than all of you combined last few years on turn ins... and all it got was a guise for Spaide who turned it in on the wrong toon
I'll give another hint on #2. Tier 1 weapons will give only Token A, Tier 2 weapons will give Token A or B. Tier 3 weapons will give either Token A, B, or C. Same with the Tokens. C will give a chance for something good.
The rewards nerf was enough imo, you should revert back to multiple tokens for weapons - aka Runed Falchion giving all 3 tokens. Sounds like out of hundreds of weapons not a single C token was even issued...?
There are 9 weapons that can give an equal chance of Token C than with B and A. Sorry if you feel ungrateful for these events. They are meant to be a fun once a year events instead of a loot pinata.
Just saying the double nerf was probably overkill. Rewards nerf is fine is warranted. That is, removing aon/cof/fungi and change consolation prize from guaranteed potion to just pelts. Last years loot pinata was crazy. Other people are also disappointed so I'm echoing those thoughts, but it is what it is. Shrug, personally I'm happy I don't have to participate anymore. Frees up my schedule!
Ahh, don't think we mean to sound ungrateful. Obtuse odds can be tough to truly enjoy at times, though. It seems like we may be finding out now that A and B tokens never had a chance at a guise, too? Not knowing odds or even if what you're doing has a chance at a prize can take the fun out of the quest, especially if it is later found what you were doing had no chance to begin with. I enjoy the events, and think Buffy is neat, and the other two being straight forward with what you have to do and what you can get makes them enjoyable, too. I think there have surely been over 1000 total turn ins on this one though, with no one getting more than a Rubicite BP and no one truly knowing if the majority of their tokens had a chance for a better prize, which takes fun away from this particular part of the event. The events are overall greatly appreciated and I'm thankful we have 'em. Just wanted to put into words why I have become not too fond of this one part of the overall event.
yeah probably because you guys knew what the event entailed to from last year or two ago. If we had this implemented instead of what we had a couple of years ago. Then you guys would know what to expect. This is why I am giving you hints.
I see the desire for a guise. But as someone who plays a DE, its good to know if that is only rare reward. Or for someone playing a rogue or bard. I do not know if its the only rare item. But due to the lack of ppl reporting cool stuff, not going to work on it myself. Good luck.
Sorry you guys don't have a bigger chance at loot you have no business ever even seeing on this server or in this era.
That's a silly statement =P. People have business seeing them here because it was quite a regular event reward, both on AK and likely still on live. Nothing strange about guise events. Not saying they should be super common or anything, but they were definitely making a regular appearance on AK. It's simply an item that continued to exist in all eras from events. It's looking like there won't be a single guise given from this event, with a collective hundreds of hours people have put into trying solely for one item, as there doesn't appear to be other rewards on the table. Seems like it should at least be a bit less rare than that on a once a year event is all.
the rarity chance for the item hasn't change. The only change that was made was what weapon is being farm for a chance at Token C. Like I said, it's 9 weapons, most of it is upper Tier.
This is like writing a letter to a casino about how many times you played the slots without hitting the jackpot.
I'd say it's more like a slot machine with a grand prize and 3 different wagers you can make, and no wording that only a specific wager can result in the prize. I am just saddened we didn't find this out until over a week into the event. Anyway, I believe I shall stop trying to get anymore tokens at this point. I appreciate the events, and just hope we can have more transparent conditions and odds in future versions of this one. I am just wishing I spent the event enjoying Coin of Gala and Memorandum of Dwarf Slaying (really wanted one of those bricks, too!), which have more clearly defined rewards and requirements.
yeah what I'll do instead of just adding more items or taking out items is just increase the chances for Rubicites and other rarity.
Putting a few of the junk weapons from dragons nobody ever kills anymore (or hardly ever did) like Xygoz, Nexona, and the NToV triplets on the list could make for some fun visits to old stomping grounds!
what's stopping people from amassing hundreds of turn-in weapons during the year, to use once event is made active again, if the weapons are known beforehand
