1k players would be a nightmare. Yeah the game can support it when everyone is spread out and things are new. A year down the line when everyone is max? That's how you get p99 level garbage.

If the population ever approaches those numbers, I would hope launching a second server to split up the population would be considered. 1000 people is too much for one server.
Donations wouldn't be a problem with 1k users. Also, a larger user pool means a greater probability of finding new suitable GMs.
Wow @Rabitz great post. That is so spot on from my view. One thing I should add, most emu servers, the players tend to be exposed to dev/admin drama. Being part of this server from the top down feels quite a bit different than most.
