hello just tryed to log onto the server but it is not showing it on the list is the server down atm ? the only to that are showing up at server select are 2 (1) bro that's a nice server (2) the al'kabor project dev server

All devs are focused on this. We will keep plugging away at this before moving onto anything else. This seemed to start 2 days ago and have been trying to track it down.
The reason I haven't done that is because I run into this problem relatively often, sometimes 3-5 times in a row, before able to log on..... but not every time, just sometimes, so I figure it's just me and not the EQ world.
Nah world is having some issues lately. If it persists and you are unable to see world for an extended time, it's not you.
ZServer starts broadcasting: Connection to world server lost, if you see this message pop onto IRC and let someone know immediately. I would hate to see peeps lose XP or items etc... due to a server sync issue. When this happened yesterday, I camped my toons out of the game and they CTD instead of landing on the Character Select screen.
