Did the chair teleport in CoDecay ever become inactive/refuse to teleport people at any point in the event? I.e. could you bind outside and teleport back down while Bertox is aggro if you died?

I never had any problems clicking down nor heard of anyone else being unable to click down, but I don't know that I ever actually tried it during the fight with Bert himself. Just before and just after, certainly.

I don't recall any issue with the chair becoming inactive either. I remember dying once during Bertox event and running back from my PoTranq bind spot to rejoin/start looting my corpse. I'm not 100% certain if this was in the midst of fighting Bert himself though.

I recall the chair being finicky and needing to click or hit U on a specific part of the chair. But nothing about it disabling during the fight.

I also recall trying to corpse summon down there because I missed Carprin a raid before. This didn’t work by the way (but I’m guessing you already had this)

This is a little late, but I'll give an explanation in case it was still bugging you.

I was there for one (technically two) of his Mujaki kills. Mujaki's bugged spawning wasn't hurting his exploit, it actually made the exploit. There are a couple reasons for this.

First, You didn't actually have to kill any of his adds. You could simply wait for him to become targetable and then single pull him. (Note: I don't think this was actually an exploit. It's more of a lazy game mechanic that Sony figured no one would notice.)

The second part (which is definitely an exploitable bug) was that two Mujakis spawned at the same time. There were two areas you could potentially fight him that were corner to corner. You could levitate up on top of the wall to travel between the two instances because they were either touching or very close. Because there were two Mujakis up and you could travel between the instances, you could simply kill the second one without having to wait the 15 minutes (or whatever it was) for him to become targetable.

Does anybody have any sort of list or evidence for NPCs that can see through rogue Shroud of Stealth?

I know i was able to slap fennin ro and walk through ToSR with SoS - I never encountered an NPC that could see through it though. Not in fire, water or earth. I never tested air.

Definitely nothing in VT saw through it. We used to drag a mage corpse around that way. We never planted a mage on live. Obviously, that would never be an option here since no rez staffs.

I never ran into a mob that saw SoS myself, nor did I bother to /con mobs when running around with an SoS rogue. I just assumed nothing would see me, and nothing ever did.

That said, I didn't do it very often and rogues would mysteriously die and blame SoS failing once in a blue moon. It was very, very rare, even before accounting for whatever number of false positives one must have heard from rogues who accidentally hit the wrong key or got hit with an AE through a wall or ceiling and assumed a see-SoS mob was to blame.

I'm not aware of any zone or NPC type that was prone to see SoS. Everywhere we raided, rogues could drag corpses and scout with SoS. A quick google earlier turned up a Safehouse thread from 2003 or 2004 in which posters called out imps in the Hole and sentries in ToSR as common problems, but this didn't seem to be the case in AK (certainly not in ToSR, at any rate, and if the Hole was an issue, nobody ever mentioned it to me).

Perhaps all see-invis NPCs had a chance to see SoS as the Safehouse boards suggest, but if so, it must have been so minuscule that you could go weeks or months without encountering one of these unicorns.

    Human memory is... well, faulty:

[Thu Oct 25 20:12:24 2012] Agia tells the guild, 'grummus sees SoS'
[Thu Oct 25 20:12:46 2012] Faults tells the guild, 'grummus CAN see sos he doesnt always spawn that way'

I did some more digging in AK logs. Found numerous examples of mobs in the Grummus area killing rogues from multiple (like over a half dozen) raids.

[Fri Feb 24 21:40:08 2006] Viva tells _:10, 'Has to have been a see sos mob'
    [Fri Feb 24 21:40:25 2006] Viva tells _:10, 'Guardian of Pestilence. '
[Fri Feb 24 21:40:39 2006] Yeniu says, 'Hail, Viva's corpse'
[Fri Feb 24 21:42:40 2006] Yeniu tells _:10, 'ok i have it .. one of the two standing by he door to grummus .. sees SoS'
[Fri Feb 24 21:42:54 2006] Yeniu tells _:10, 'when you come around the corner, they aggro'
[Fri Feb 24 21:42:56 2006] Druin says, 'Hail, Rummel's corpse'

[Fri Feb 24 21:43:19 2006] Lumbar says, 'Hail, Yeniu's corpse'
[Fri Feb 24 21:46:13 2006] Yeniu tells _:10, 'yeah, luckily it is very rare'
[Fri Feb 24 21:46:51 2006] Lumbar tells _:10, 'my fault for not conning mobs, but never had to worry about it till now'
[Fri Feb 24 21:47:41 2006] Rummel tells _:10, 'there he is. my target sees sos'

[Tue Feb 15 23:26:38 2005] Daikas tells the guild, 'weird, conneed a a coterie centurion and most cant see me, and then one can, and it says "you suspect that this being can see you" Never have seen that message before'

[Tue Feb 15 23:27:24 2005] Yeniu tells the guild, 'some mobs have a chance of seeing thru SoS, and that is waht it says '

After reading that, I checked for 'you suspect' messages. I thought that was a Live thing but AK had it too:

From two rogue logs, combined ~110 megs, there are 14 of those messages. All but one is in PoFire. There are over 5000 'regards you indifferently'

IIRC there were even mobs that saw sneak/sos but not invis (mudwalkers in poe i think), the roaming regrua near kzriik the mighty saw SoS almost 100% of the time, It was called an ancient regrua sentry or sentinel. I also thought all EP minis and some trigger NPC's in EP's had a chance to be flagged, including the fennin scrpt minis. Groihin the wise, PoE mudwalkers (the roaming 16? spawns), tantasilia jaggedtooth, exp named very rarely (mephit named in poe and nightmare named in pofire i remember, i also remember rogues not going off the main path in poair because of see sos xp named / trigger mobs).

I can't say exactly when in the timeline this was, could have been mid PoP or it could have been GoD. Pretty sure the monk sneak gave the same message as see SoS, i might have been using sneak+invis. That message was probably added with the improved SoS if AK monks don't remember seeing it.

I don't remember for sure but it seems like there were some that saw SoS in VT, i cant remember if it was key droppers or triggered mobs. Rydda Dar might have seen sos too, but rydda might not have given a message, he was straight up undead prox agro flagged like low lvl skeletons iirc. Other than pure undead prox agro mobs, I don't remember anything Pre-EP's seeing thru sneak/sos.

I believe that is a unique message to SoS seeing NPCs. It wasn't present for regular invis.

Interesting. I never played a rogue during this timeframe. The message later on in EQ's life was implemented for regular invis as well which caused my confusion.

The "Your Shroud of Stealth keeps you hidden from watchful eyes" message was added in 2005:
    http://www.tski.co.jp/baldio/patch/20050713.html

As for who has a chance to see through SoS, there's a lot of speculation and conflicting information here: https://thesafehouse.org/forums/forum/everquest-wing/the-back-alley/17993-mobs-that-see-through-sos
But as a first approximation, maybe mobs meeting all these conditions should have, say, a 1% chance to additionally spawn with the ability to see through SoS?
    * Spawned as see invis
    * Above level 50
    * Roam (this might explain why it seemed to be more common in the Plane of Fire?)

I think it's highly likely that PoFire mobs were individually flagged for it if 13 out of 14 'You suspect that this being can see you' in these rogue logs were from them, and from 3 different NPC types. (not including Babnoxis)

Also in that thread, the last post on the first page mentions see-SoS mobs he's encountered as matching the NPCs I've seen mentioned from AK players: Grummus area, TZ area roamers, PoI factory, scarelings. I've also seen Sontalak mentioned in several threads (and the AK log), and these mentioned more than once: ToSR pats, PoAir pats, Sebilis mobs.

So it's sounding like certain mobs have a lowish chance to see, not everything. Although maiden's eye vampires seeing is kinda weird.

What were the Halls of Honor trial reset times for failures and successes?

I don't know, but I combed through Tem's AK DKP site for HoH trial dates. The soonest we repeated the trials after failures were 6 days (villagers), 7 days (Rydda), and 3 days (maidens). The 3-day data point has the first attempt on a Wednesday night (9/21/05) and the second on a Saturday (9/24/05). AK reset on Wednesday mornings, so it's unlikely that the server reset between those attempts.

The data from successes isn't as helpful, since we were less likely to get in and repeat the trial if we won and got flags. The soonest we repeated the trials after successes were 9 days (villagers), 30+ days (Rydda), and 18 days (maidens).

If I had to guess, I'd say each trial reset 3 days after a failure and either 3 or 7 days after a success.

No idea on success (best guess is 3 days, which seems to be a theme in PoP). The lockout on failure appears to be 3 hours, though:

Was there ever a boss on AK that had more than one special attack type? (single Ramp, AoE Ramp, Flurry) I've encountered this on Live but haven't found log evidence of it

This is from a thread in 2007, two days after a wipe:
A month later, a few days after another wipe:
So LMM remained targetable forever once triggered. People seemed to believe this was a bug. I don't know if that's because he worked differently on Live (easy to believe; PoP zones seemed to be a snapshot of their status at the expansion's launch, so we had a lot of bugs that got squashed as soon as players encountered them on Live) or if it was just wishful thinking, because they were apparently having trouble pulling the repopped guardians with LMM up and targetable.

Not that I can recall. Unless you count BoT elementals bugged with Frenzied Burnout!

Did clicking on the four tower teleporters in BoThunder without holding the ring wake up the two gargoyles next to each, or was that only a thing with the Agnarr click-up?

I vaguely remember someone mis-clicking and waking the gargoyles before some random offnight shenanigans with a tower boss (not Agnarr). I think it's more likely they mis-clicked one of the four tower teleporters than the Agnarr click-up, since we likely congregated near the relevant tower click-up. Just a fuzzy recollection, though; I wouldn't bet much on it.

I would have ventures the opposite, that only the Agnarr gargs attacked on a misclick, but I wouldn’t swear to it, either.

Does anybody have access to a raid guild's loot history from 2003/2004?
