I'm curious what the final # was for Guises this year. Felt much harder lol but maybe that was just the fatigue of returning to the same camps from the year prior. I know you're not asking, but suggestions for future years: if you have a list of all potential Nameds that could drop swords maybe have them RNG selected each anniversary reset so it's a fresh batch of some knowns mostly unknowns that we could search out/return to and I would even take reduced odds of C token and reduced odds of Guise if the sword droppers dropped a sword 100% of the time but say the odds of it being a Negerbor compared to a Ralos are weighted given the difficulty/rarity of that mob. FYI this continues to be my fav anniv event despite the RNG pain so big thanks to all the devs and ofc feel free to ignore my suggestions!
Just wondering if any of the weapon droppers have been changed or removed this year? Anyone finding a previous camp yielding zero drops?
7 named kills in Maidens so far and no sword drops.. wondering how long I'll keep at this. Also 2 for 11 fireclaws, at least its dropping?
I'm 1 for 1. Was Drolvarg Captain in KC. Not much of a sample size... but they do drop! I did camp the named in Befallen too, but after spending 3 hours there killing the PHer every 15m... with no spawn... I gave up and have been spending my time on farming exp+ornates in PoP zones. I'm just not cut out for the sword camps.
Devs, honest question. To who's benefit is it you've kept the drop rate on anni swords so terrible this year? Last year felt like a correction to maybe dropping too common the prior (first) year of this event, but this year its a fucking joke. How many humans are actually doing this still despite the god awful drop rates? Maybe throw us a bone??? /rant over
Out of 40 hours of camping 1 named roughly 20 minute spawn timer, I've gotten that named ~30 times. I've gotten 5 swords. 3 on Friday. Zero on Saturday. 1 Sunday. 1 Monday. Returns are 3 A tokens (1 dose FoB potions) and 2 B tokens (Flawless RH hide, Sapphire). So, a rare spawn + a rare drop + an ultra-rare return. Why bother?
Seems like its around the same as last year, and much fewer of us playing along because its... soul crushing
Last year carrion queen in FoB dropped swords fairly regularly. This year I tried killing her about 10 times or so and not a single sword so I gave up. I assumed she was nerfed since she's pretty easy to spawn through mass killing.
i just looked, carrion queen is 50% drop rate on the blade, 10 in a row with no blade is either extremely bad luck or something else is going on
Probably a run of bad luck, I had a run of great luck last year. It all averages out in the long run!
Are a lot of the sword droppers supposed to be this high of a drop rate ? (50%) I've killed 75 sword droppers so far (if none have been removed) this year, 15 different named. I've gotten 10 swords from these 75 named kills.
some are lower it looks like, dvinn is much lower - i think the ones that got farmed super hard and were dropping the most/hour were the ones that got tuned down last anniversary
Is anyone having success this year though? I'm just hearing a lot more about people having a BAD time with the event than having a good time.. I dunno, thought this fact alone would be worth some reflection
confirming I'm giving up this year, loot on swords is broken 4 days, 22 named, zero drops of swords... can't even get a single item to turn in, let alone gamble on the 3rd and 4th casino turn-ins (token + token reward) truly awful stuff
Think I'm done too.. 26 named and 3 swords, not as bad as Rimi just doesnt feel worth the effort I'm putting in.
I went through all the npcs that were dropping swords and adjusted them based on rarity of the spawn (respawn time, chance to spawn, and amount of spawn points factored in) and added swords to 30+ more mobs across the world. I added the ornate event this year and didn't look at any previous years events for adjustment, been so focused on last minute fixes for the TLP and time got away from me. Rob will patch in the changes tomorrow
That's awesome news ! Really appreciate you doing this, and all the work all of the devs do to keep takp going, Thank you !
I have killed Tserrina 26 times and gotten 1 sword. think she is not worth the squeeze. cool ~4% drop rate.
"a sengian fly" (Plane of Disease) -> Zorle's Greatsword Added to the wiki. Thought it was trash, but seems its a named.
