I guess if I could pick one ability from another class, it would be the GM Avatar's ability to reset all timers. Spamming 7k HTs on dev was fun.
I'd have to go with giving Beastlords the Track and/or Forage ability, flavor-wise. If bards can do it then why not a class whose flavor is being at home in the wilderness?
I know right? In what world is a lord of beasts in tune with nature but can't track anything? It always bugged me they didn't get it.
I take it back, best ability for a necro would be to be able to see their damage like most every other class in the game can.
When was that introduced on live (PC and/or AK)? I was parsing my DPS for my DE Necro main 20ish years ago when I still played. And the last time I played EQ before TAKP was on Mith Marr like a month or two after LoY released.
I do have dreams of Feign Death on my wizard. Not for the insane aggro management but more for pulling, I dislike having to evac/rangergate to drop aggro.
In no particular order! Meditate on Bards Subtlety on Druids Defensive/Evasive on Knights Cleric CH with the aggro of Druid CH Auto-attack for Archery
I'd love a focus effect (and a line of AAs too, for that matter) that extends bard song durations. Maybe an bard song buff window too. Does that count as two? Math is hard. >_<
If only pets stuck around after zoning like on Live. I used to repeatedly quest that sword on my TLP paladin haha.
Getting waaaay off topic, multiple abilities, QoL tools, non TAKP abilities, and equipment... lol If I had to choose... BST have Warrior AC soft/hard cap OR Nec have CH or the best nuke in game. Imagine... a nuker or CHer that doesn't get agro plus nearly unlimited mana...
Yeah but sitting inside the CHeal rotation itself is even more boring than twitching the clerics, are you sure a decent Necro would even want to assume the responsibility? That 10 second cast time could be spent doing far more useful Necro fiddling around the fringes imo. Necros make great spot crowd control in a pinch, and can end up doing a lot of the overall damage on fringe targets in fights where "off tanking" is called for. And on the big raid mobs why not just spend all your action time cycling through every single damn DOT in your spell book, if the clerics already have the tank covered? I'm not even sure if having CHeal on Pharmakos would improve my three box. I feel like for group situations I'd much rather he have Superior Healing or something of that sort, with a shorter cast time and lower mana commitment per cast. Even then I might not use it, because the heal over time -> lifetap yourself back up cycle is so juicy already. Might keep it memmed for some specific fights where I expect that potential specific emergency situations might arise I suppose.
2201 with a BS mod (252 skill), or 2030 without (assuming 225 skill). Helps to see how valuable the mod is when dealing with huge, fake numbers.
Necro slow that works on all mobs, not just undead Paladin weapon aa’s working on 1h not just 2h Rogue coth Paladin 30 sec Mez and CH Druid ability to crit heal on CH Beastlords FD Just a few . So many would kill balance though, that’s why PoP is so good, no one class can do it all
This happened for a little bit on TAKP for the first month or so? But it got patched out pretty quickly. Good times!
After a thorough review of every class ability, I would like to amend my response and select necromancer flesh to bone AA on a bard.
