Practicing spells in populated areas always runs the risk of being moved or kicked. Be courteous of others.
Back in the day on Live on my server, that's what the Nexus was for; right off PoK/baz so easy access, and no one hangs out there. Doing it in Bazaar is just rude IMO. You see someone spamming spells, tell 'em to take to the Nexus.
I think you can levi them, and slowly push them into the arena where they can be punished, unless they cornered their-self.
There was a short time on Rallos Zek where people would cast levitate on traders and nudge them into the arena, murdering them and taking all their plats.
So i'm the guilty party here (Kovac). Sorry for the trouble. For the record, I wasn't practicing/spell training, I was enchanting clay (to sell, in the bazaar). Regardless, I suppose its not all that much different. I will take my clay enchanting to a less populated area. Sorry again, please don't trebuchet me
I get that alot too, when I make vials of viscous mana at Dogle Bank... there is a usually a bard there spamming the AE mana song, so I take advantage of it... but I am most certainly not afk while doing it.
If only there were a way to filter out others casts so you dont see any messages. Maybe the dev's could add this feature
You make a valid point -- it would seem, logically, that /filter otherspells should also include others' fizzles. Anyone know the AKuracy of that?
Seems like a worthwhile quality of life change even if the only benefit of it ends up being saving manual admin time moving players.
